A friend and I stopped in this morning for breakfast and was promptly greetings by our server his name is Annette. She was extremely friendly, courteous and very helpful thought we were giving her our order. A food came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed my visit to Mel's Diner this time and I will definitely be back soon.

Such a unique place to eat. The only true diner in Lafayette. The food is straight up Americana. Breakfast anything from eggs to pancakes. Lunch has great burgers. Dinner is traditional diner options.

Annette is amazing. Accidentally spilled my water on my plate, but still ate most of it. She noticed and brought me an entirely new fresh plate free of charge. Amazing experience. Very attentive and personable. 1,000/10 recommend Annette!

The service is amazing I took my mom there today I got chicken fried with mashed potatoes and she got the taco salad we both loved it. The reason I didnt rate it 5 stars was because one small part of my chicken fried steak was raw but I'm still gonna go back and I highly recommend going there open 24hours. :)

Classic diner food at a great price literally all day. Can't tell you how many times my friends and I have stumbled in barely coherent and proceeded to get exactly the kind of food we need. Can't recommend enough.
